I managed to watch 3 movies during my holidays. (congratz to me =P)
So I'm going to review the movies and give them stars *wink2*

Twilight

*3 stars!*

I probably watched that movie in the first place because of kaklang. she kept on saying wanting to watch that movie. so when we went to Alamanda, I suggested to watch Twilight. (a lil story of my brother =P)

The movie was simply about a romantic story, where the boy met the girl and they fell in love with each other. but the different with other romantic movies was the love was between the mortal and immortal, vampire and human. he attracted to her because of her smell, but cannot be closed to her as he feared he might eat her -- it's against his diet =P and no doubt why she would be attracted to him -- he's gorgeous! Then the boy surrendered himself that he cannot be apart from her. there's the part I hate so much -- loved her but cannot be with her. so after all, this movie was nothing but cheesy.

Even though I liked that movie - because of the cheesy thingy - I was a lil bit confused at first about some things. can't really understand why he made a face to her in their first meeting? how come the urge to drink her blood changed to love? what was really the purpose of this movie? I kinda got the answer with the conclusion, it was all nothing but cheesy romantic love movie. but I liked it though, haha, coz of the hero.

When we finished watching the movie, mak asked us whether the movie was good. me and adik kinda liked it so we said yes. but figured out, mak must have not liked that movie so much.hihi. the movie was actually inspired from the novels written by Stephanie Meyer. but the movie was not exactly the same as the novel. so you should probably find one if you wanted to know or 'understand' better about the movie.

one final question. what is the difference between Draculas and Vampires?

Los Dan Faun

I laughed when I saw the ad of this movie. what an ad! and it turned out that the movie was good as the ad - i laughed hilariously.

The movie was about Los (Carlos) and Faun (Ahmad Faun) that were capable of solving mysteries. believe it or not, they even cracked the Da Vinci Code! haha~ so this 2 friends opened up a business of finding things (apparently, they were into finding things. but were they any difference with solving mysteries?ngee)and the wife of the deceased Tuan Al-Sofaruddin Al-Sogood hired them to find her husband's watch. it turned out that actually the so-called deceased was not dead, and the lost of the watch was planned to claim for insurance. it was very hilarious to watch the movie, even though the were some serious parts.

Things I don't like about the movie were that it used the same old dirty tricks to make people laugh. things that are sensitive to women. aren't they feel obliged to protect women' sensitivities? and another thing, why Los & Faun was hired if they would find out about the truth, and ended up with the bad people got caught?hmmm..

The Day The Earth Stood Stillt

1st of all, I was not really into the movie - because of the long title - but I watched it for 2 simple reasons. because it's Wednesday and we got cheaper price tickets and there were no other 'interesting' movies available at the time we wanted to watch a movie.

It was about the coming of sort of alien in the form of a human (Keanu Reeves) and his spheres, to the earth in order to kill all mankind. The reason was because we, the humans, did not protect the earth good enough and we almost kill it. So in order to save the earth, we must die. "If the earth dies, you die. If you die, the earth survives". Its coming was almost like Armageddon, or Qiamah.

But there were some things that quite unjustifiable to me. Who was he, or they, came to earth and easily claimed that all mankind must be destroyed. who gave them the authority? were they even justified to kill us? how did he easily touched by the relationship between Dr. Helen and Jacob (or really, what had touched his rationality?), and if because of failing to see the leaders of the world would made him destroy humans, did he believed that Dr. Helen AND Jacob alone could do the work - to change the humans?

The effect was good though, I was like stunned and jaw dropped (somehow =P), like quite scared if that would really happen to us (I even cried when I watched The Day After Tomorrow, coz too scared that it might happened). I felt like swearing to myself to be a good person, so that the earth wouldn't suffer anymore, but it only last for 5 minutes and was gone when I finished watching.
