I better write something on this issue while I'm still has that 'feeling'.
I've just watched Criminal Minds, not the latest season though.
And I've watched this episode for the 2nd time, probably.
It's the case of siblings which were adopted and killed families. The brother killed the parents while they made their children watching the killing. While the other one, killed the children very slowly with some sort of drugs that are used on animals. The reason was to protect the children from being abused by their parents, which they thought that by killing the children it will make them safer.
The trigger point of that killing was because of their miserable nightmare being abused by their adopted folks.
Wasn't that pathetic?? and creepy. and sad.
2 moral values I got from that episode (see, watching doesn't all that meaningless)
1- remember to value and appreciate your parents more. because if you don't, you'll be devastated when they're gone. imagine that you had a fight with your parents just now, and not long after that you lose them. don't apply this principle -- "it's ok to do this and that becoz soon they'll gone." (got that from Bones)
2- parents aren't always right. I know that parents do things for their children and want the children to do things perfectly becoz they want the very best for their childrens. And parents know the best becoz "dorang makan garam dulu".
but perhaps, even though the intentions are good, the method ain't good as it should be.
ok, let's have a review on this movie -Penelope.
This is a good movie, and I've always like it! though have been watching it for several times.
The story was about a girl that was cursed and had a pig-nose. The parents believed that one way to break the curse was through marriage. But who wanted to marry a piggy-nose girl kan2? haha
Later it turned out that to break the curse was to love yourself as it is. So did she. And that broke the curse.
The point was that, the girl believed her mother that the only way to break the curse was through marriage which she also believed (her mother of coz) that she wasn't that beautiful for someone to really fall in love in her.
What I wanted to say is that, childrens believe what their parents told them - even though it's a bad thing.
A parent told you you ain't good at doing this and that. You believe that. The aftermath is that you'll never have the confidence to do things.
Or a parent told you that you're sadistic. You believe that. You'll become people that hurt others more.
Or a parent told you you're so good in making people feel bad. You believe that. Maybe you'll become a lonely loner, how knows.
Or the parent says; "Ain kena pakai tali pinggang keledar, kalau tak ayah taknak bawak Ain jalan." even though that was softly spoken, but ain't that a reverse psychology? Ain mesti deep inside her heart afraid her father would leave her when she doesn't listen to her father.
ok that's so much of a feeling.
the so-called aftermath after wacthing the mind-boggling series!
